Photography “Gear Wars” Episode with Vanessa Joy and Will Cadena

It was great to be filming with Vanessa Joy again and this time was a first. We filmed on my home turf. While we were both attending the photography conference, Imaging USA, we decided to make content while we were together. Vanessa is well known for her series called "Gear Wars." Vanessa's premise behind the show is to take two professional photographers, put them head to head with budget camera equipment and see who comes out on top.

In this episode, her guest was New York photographer Will Cadena. I have worked with Vanessa a few times before as well as with Will. It was great working with both of them and seeing their different styles and approaches to photography.

I filmed this episode alone using just a couple of cameras. It's definitely a challenge to film solo but we were able to make it happen. Our model for this episode was Joy Jewel. She was fantastic and really brought the energy that we needed for the shoot.
